The Fall 2024 Harmony Issue of Whitewall celebrates throughout our pages, you’ll find the harmony that artists, designers, curators, and creators are seeking and establishing in their own practices and communities. We feature three artists on our cover. Julian Charrière, whose engrossing visual practice exposes pressing ecological and social issues to audiences. Tyler Mitchell is known for making images rich in deep color, emotion, texture, and light. Dominique Fung’s distinct style, also on our cover, wowed visitors to Art Basel last June, within an 88-foot, seven-paneled painting. Maximilian Davis, gracing our cover as well, in two years at Ferragamo has done the impossible—seemed to have pleased everyone.
- Julian Charrière, the artist travels from volcanoes to glaciers to engage with scientists, art historians, and locals for his ongoing project “Calls for Action.”
- Tyler Mitchell, exploring the constellation of contemporary culture through photographs that reveal repose, leisure, and play
- Dominique Fung, the artist recognized for her ability to make works that glow from within takes on the challenge of sculpture, after tackling monumental murals.
- Maximilian Davis, after two successful years at Ferragamo, the fashion designer mines new inspiration from the archives, staying true to the beloved Ferragamo community—old and new.
